Destination: Californabria

Well, the knock out duo that is Rynn and myself have made it to the beautiful sunshine state. After over 3,000 miles, and 7 days of driving our mission is accomplished. Tomorrow we will finally get to move back into Chapman (and I can see Nick finally) and all of our fabulous friends.

We survived a run-away windshield wiper, toll booth workers that wanted our blood, Utah, and a fraternity party. We made it through Chicago traffic, Nebraska and Iowa flatland, the Rocky Mountains, Utah's plateaus, and Death Valley. Also, contrary to popular belief we do not hate each other after being confined to the driver, and passenger seat of a Saab for over 168 hours.

The USA taught us a few lessons. Apparently few people travel the speed limit cross country, and they get very angry when you do. It is not advisable to stay on the go for over 36 hours, unless you have a good supply of espresso. Utah takes away half of the alcohol in beer, and has a very coy sense of humor. We learned that regardless of the "-ship" you are in there will be complications. Personally, I learned that a long distance relationship is very possible, and worth the wait. Another important lesson learned was not to be greedy, or your foundation will crack. I also learned to specify to my mother that staying at an ISU Frat house means that I am staying at a College Frat house, NOT a friends grandparents home. We both learned that it would totally blow to cross the country in a wagon filled with out of date style and pulled by some sort of large 4-legged animal. Also, we developed a love for Chicago and all the windy city has to offer.

Worry not delightful readers, this will not be the last of our adventures. The semester begins in less than 24 hours and the jucy, jaw dropping tales have yet to commence.

Until next time, Love you...mean it.
